Lesè (liz) maj′esty

1. a. A crime, esp. high treason, committed against a monarch or government.

b. an offense that violates the dignity of a ruler.

That monarch is the state of pop music. We're going to do something about it with a little bit of Rock 'n' Soul! Our guitars may be loud, but we want you to dance.

Lèse Majesty are:

  • Peter Joseph – Vox, Guitar
  • D'Arcy Rittich – Bass, Backing Vox

What's that 60 Cycle Hum?

Sound techs know that a 60 cycle hum is the low frequency noise you get when you're plugging in your instruments. However it's also the name of Peter Joseph and Lisa Duncan's duo. 60 Cycle Hum play covers with just guitar and two vocals. They play everything from Kings of Leon, David Bowie, Dusty Springfield, Gin Wigmore, Alicia Keys and more. Some songs you may know and some you may not. Check them out next time they play.
